Peacock Ponte Knit Base Jacket

These additional directions will teach the following techniques/skills.  Combine them with the BASIC DIRECTIONS as taught in

Of there is a center back seam, the original remaining stitching must be ripped.

Interface half plus 1/2" so that the center front fold is interfaced as well.  Interfacing will be on the 'public', outer side.

Fit to see if the height of the Collar Band is comfortable on you...or not.

Trim neckline down as needed so that Collar Band is comfortable.

Regardless, grading the seam so that the 'public', outer seam as they are layered, is the longest.

Stitch front Band together, and onto jacket, stitching the right side of the inside of the Band to the WRONG side of the jacket.

After stitching in the ditch to secure from the wrong side, trim VERY closely. .

Execute a wrapped edge with a wide BIAS strip, stitching the right side to the wrong side of the stayed Sleeve edge.  Turn back end to start.

Wrap fabric around edge, to the Front.

Add quilted band.
