MT-1
Mira Top.

MT-2
Black Mira Top - Side shirred to arm pit.

MT-3
Design which side and where front design line is to be located.

MT-4
Slash and add seam allowances to each side.

MT-5
Also add length to Shirred Front pattern piece.

MT-6
Pattern should look like this, or reversed - depending on which side of center font you designed the design line to be located.

MT-7
Shape Back pattern piece as shown if desired.

MT-7a
Cutting layout.

MT-8
To create optional flounce.

MT-9
Cutting Flounce 'donut'.

MT-10
Slash one side of flounce.

MT-11
Stay Stitch inner arc of flounce - though on knits, I've found you really don't need to do this.

MT-12
Clip into stay stitching so flounce lays straight.

MT-13
Consult printed booklet!

MT-14
Set Sleeve Shirring gathers.

MT-15
Pull up and secure gathers to length specified in directions.

MT-16
Tie off gathering threads.  THEN distribute gathered fullness evenly.

MT-17

Consult pattern directions for details.

MT-18
Topsitching in the tube of the sleeve.

MT-19
Sleeve prepared - shirring completed.  Note shirring ends at the hem stitching future location denoted by pin.

MT-20
The DOT is all important - be sure to mark it clearly.

MT-21
Adjustment at Front for off-set hemline as seen on the Red Mira Top.

MT-22
Consult written directions for details.

MT-23
Round off the top and bottom edges of the Flounce if desired as I have done.

MT-24
Applying Lastin for a snappy, retentive 'clean finish' neckline.

MT-25
Consult written booklet and listen to audio below.

MT-26
Optional finishing off neck seam allowance with serging.

MT-27
Be sure to listen to audio for details.

MT-28
Another Mira Top showing the clean finish neckline and topstitching.

MT-28a
At jobbed hemline, be sure the hem allowance is turned up before the vertical seam is pressed into place and top stitched.

MT-29
Tucks and basting for first fitting.

MT-30
IMHO the shirring 'droops' and I'd like it more taut -  necessitating taking in the side seam of the shirred side.

MT-31
Dress forms DO come in handy!

MT-32
Taking in the shirred front at side seam.

MT-33
Note how much I am taking off the shirred front at the side seam.  What I've cut off is important information...

MT-34
Taking the 'cut off' parts back to the pattern for records - saving this time the next top made of a knit with similar crosswise stretch.

MT-35
Recording on my pattern tissue.

MT-36
Stabilizing hem allowance with knit fusible interfacing.

MT-37
Consult written directions and audio for information .
