Select a decorative stitch to 'tack' tucks.  This is the 'Hemstitching stitch with settings that I selected.  See next photo for how it was worked over the tie.

After securing the tie - I worked some more decorative stitches.

with ties plopped on TOP of the tucks.

Showing sleeve finish - with similar tucks, caught up with a strip of bias from one of the ties.  A bias single layer strip of the tie is also stitched on top of the original cover hem.
