Interface the fabric where zip will be located.

Press zip flat from tape side - not directly on the coil.

Wrap the bottom edge for an extra nice finish.

Mark any location to be matched on the zipper tape.

Note the elastic a bit tighter lining the facings.

Add the elastic to the inside of the facings.

Let the zip ROLL in at the top edge BEFORE crossing with top finish.

Letting the zip ROLL in at the top edge BEFORE stitching across with top finish yields this fine look...

Stitch elastic along ends as shown by the pin.

Turn facing down onto the OUTSIDE and stitch as described across each end.

Clip CLOSE diagonally across the corner.
